With The SSE Women’s FA Cup Final looming on the horizon and the women’s game in general still riding the crest of a wave created by England’s success in Canada, The Offside Rule Podcast’s Lynsey Hooper was in a generous mood at Arsenal Ladies vs Notts County Ladies on Sunday afternoon.
Lynsey was armed with two pairs of tickets to Saturday’s showpiece occasion, the first final to be held at Wembley, for anyone who could correctly answer who England’s top goalscorer was in Canada earlier this month.
The winners, Julie Square and Alex Bush, correctly guessed that England’s most capped player Fara Williams was the answer to Lynsey’s question and have bagged themselves tickets to the game on Saturday afternoon.
Our winners will now head off to the home of English football where a record crowd is expected for The SSE Women’s FA Cup final between Chelsea and Notts County.
There will be plenty of England’s World Cup stars on show, with Laura Bassett, Alex Greenwood, Ellen White and Carly all expected to lineup for County.
Chelsea meanwhile will certainly have Claire Rafferty, Katie Chapman and Eniola Aluko in their starting eleven, with Fran Kirby also having joined from Reading immediately after the tournament.
