Top 100 2019 Christen Press

It’s been a really strong year for Press. 13 goals between club and country and a World Cup medal to put the icing on the cake. Press’s ability to be devastating whether in the number nine role or playing from the left ensures her importance to the USA team. Press had a steady start to the year but her big moment came when she replaced the injured Megan Rapinoe in the World Cup semi-final against England. It took Press just 10 minutes to head home the opener. Press returned from France full of confidence, scoring in her first two games back against the NWSL’s strongest sides, before adding five more goals and finding the net in both of Vlatko Andonovski’s first two games in charge of the USA.
