Football Shirt Friday in honour of West Ham’s Bobby Moore

On Friday 11th April fans from around the country will unite to honour the in memory of England's World Cup winning captain Bobby Moore. Wear your team colours with pride this Friday in support of the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK, it doesn't matter who you support, Hammer or no Hammer, don your colours this Friday and put aside your rivalries and fight against cancer.

The event is taking place the day before what would have been  Moore’s birthday to raise extra awareness of an illness that took one of England’s finest at the cruel age of just 51. The inspiration for the event comes from the famous photo of Bobby Moore swapping shirts with Brazilian legend Pele at the 1970 World Cup and the Bobby Moore Fund was set up by his wife, Stephanie.

So get your team together for Friday 11th April 2014 and Make Bobby Proud! To find out more visit, www.footballshirtfriday.org.

Make sure you follow #FootballShirtFriday on the Bobby Moore Fund Facebook page, and Cancer Research UK’s Twitter and Instagram.
