There’s not a lot to be said about Cristiane that hasn’t already been said, the 32-year-old continues to remain one of the classiest players in the world.
Many were disappointed when the forward dropped off the radar when deciding to move to China with Changchun in the summer, but four goals in her first three matches in Asia showed she’d had no issues settling.
Back in Europe, Cristiane played a key role in helping PSG reach the Champions League, and her performances didn’t deserve the ending her time in France got.
She ended the Ligue 1 season with 11 goals, but two goals vs Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals and a further goal against Barcelona in the semi-finals saw her walk out in Cardiff against rivals Lyon.
Cristiane led from the front, stepping up first in the shootout to score her penalty, but the night and the season would ultimately end in disappointment.
