19. Ramona Bachmann

One of the most explosive players in the world. Ramona Bachmann started 2017 with a new challenge in England after ending her spell with Wolfsburg.

Despite her talent and status as Switzerland’s key player, Bachmann never quite hit it off with the German champions, but she appears to have taken her game to a new level with Chelsea.

Bachmann scored three goals and took no time to settle as Chelsea won the Spring Series, but it’s her ability to run both at and through defences that has given a new dimension to Chelsea’s attack.

The 26-year-old deserved better for her performances at Euro 2017 with Switzerland, linking up in attack and scoring the winner in the second group match against Iceland.

Emma Hayes, Chelsea manager says:

“Ramona is a dynamic, creative spark that makes people get off their feet. She suits the English game, because she is explosive and will make things happen.”

Martina Voss-Tecklenburg, Switzerland head coach says:

“Ramona has developed very well in 2017, that has a lot to do with her move to Chelsea. She has regained confidence and she has played with a lot of speed. She made progress physically as well and in the National Team she had a good season and a good Euro 2017.”
