15. Caroline Graham Hansen
2019 was possibly Graham Hansen’s finest year yet and one which sees her rise once again in the rankings. She made the headlines when she swapped Wolfsburg for Barcelona in the summer but she’s continued to go from strength to strength ever since. Arguably the most creative player in the game today, Graham Hansen was in top form as she helped Wolfsburg to another title before leaving for Spain. A recent hat-trick against high-flying Deportivo is the highlight of her time in Spain so far and she’s already created six goals for others. She shone in an exciting young Norway side in France and since then has 11 goals in just five games for her country since the summer.
Martin Sjogren, Norway head coach:
“Caroline has been a major player for us in Norway during 2019. Her abilities with the ball have been well known for a long time, but she has improved her overall skills continuously, and now she is better than ever. She had a good World Cup and after arriving at FC Barcelona her offensive performances in the national team have become even better – leading top scorer with 10 goals in four games in the Euro qualifiers. She is also developing into being a very strong leader for our team and takes great responsibility for the process of creating an even better national team. I’m really happy for her and Norway’s sake to see her progress during 2019.”
