46. Jackie Groenen

Top 100 2019 Jackie Groenen

It always felt inevitable since the European Championships in 2017 that Groenen would be destined for a big club once she decided to leave FFC Frankfurt. She once again starred for her country at the World Cup, scoring the memorable extra-time goal which clinched the Netherlands’ spot in their first World Cup final before joining Manchester United for their debut season in the FA WSL. Groenen has instantly become one of the team’s key players and her passing ability has been on show since the first game. Able to dictate games with the defensively solid Hayley Ladd sat behind her, Groenen is continuing to prove she has a lot of quality in her locker.

Casey Stoney, Manchester United manager:

“Jackie is a fantastic talent and brings a great mentality to the team both on and off the pitch. She has non stop energy and always finds a way to play forward which fits perfectly with the attacking philosophy we have at Manchester United.”
