68. Guro Reiten
It was only a matter of time before a forward as technical and as devastating Reiten made a top move and that move in 2019 was to Chelsea. Able to play across the front line or create from deeper, Reiten’s time helping LSK dominate in Norway came to an end and she’s wasted no time in bringing her quality to the FA WSL. Her form at the start of the year included a run of 12 goals in 10 games in the Toppserien and she then found the net in Norway’s opening game of the World Cup against Norway. Part of an exciting attack at international level, Reiten has the players around her to bring out the best in her and once can only wonder how she’ll link up with Sam Kerr in 2020. Three goals in her opening four Chelsea games offer a taste of what Reiten will continue to offer in the future.
Martin Sjogren, Norway head coach:
“Just like when she took the step from a smaller to bigger club in Norway, she adapted very fast to the new better environment, she has now proved being very good at the highest club level in Europe. She has had improvement during the year in the national team, and did a solid performance in the World Cup. Her understanding of the game is very high and her ability in creating chances is at the highest level. She is on her way of becoming a top international player, and I’m sure that within the near future she will take more steps towards that level because she is a quick learner.”
