12: Eugénie Le Sommer
Lyon’s top goal scorer ever comes in outside the top 10 for the first time since 2017 but she’s still enjoyed a relatively stellar year. Her goals and assists aside, Le Sommer’s creative work can sometimes go both unnoticed and underappreciated, often playing second fiddle to a Lyon attack built around Ada Hegerberg pre-injury. As the team’s main striker at the moment, Le Sommer’s started the new season in quick fashion with three goals and seven more for her national team, including a four-goal haul in a recent qualifier. As she often does, Le Sommer popped up in the biggest of games to give her side a vital lead in the Champions League final against Wolfsburg, her biggest of big moments during 2020.
