52: Sakina Karchaoui

It is long overdue that Sakina Karchaoui is now recognised as one of the best full-backs in the game and breaks into the 100 for the first time, and not far off breaching the top 50. After leaving Montpellier in the summer, Karchaoui was courted by almost every top club in Europe, eventually opting for Lyon, a sign you certainly have the talent when the European champions come calling. Her incredible athleticism and ability to go past players has seen her quickly slot into life with the Champions League winners and across 2020 was joint second for chances created from full-back, alongside team mate Ellie Carpenter. Now also France’s regular starting left-back, at 24 it’s exciting to know there is probably more to come for Karchaoui.
