61: Leah Williamson

After making the 100 for the first time last year, it’s no surprise to see Leah Williamson shoot up the rankings after another impressive year. Williamson is the ideal modern-day centre-back and while she has always been a good passer of the ball, she is now beginning to split open opposition defences and create chances herself, whether it be with her long ball ability over the top of stepping forward and playing passes into her forwards. It’s no surprise she has one of the highest pass completion rates in the FA WSL but also the third highest centre-back for chances created. Not often a goal scorer, she did pop up with a cup final goal for her childhood team, despite ending up on the losing side. At 23, so much quality and so much promise for the future.
