1) Ryan Giggs insists Man United do not see themselves as underdogs when it comes to their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich. Despite the Red Devils poor form, Giggs has suggested they can win the competition with a bit of luck.

2) Manchester City’s planned ground extension has been given the green light and will be done in 2 stages. The first will see the stadium go from 48000 to 54000 by the start of the 2015/16 season.

3) Nottingham Forest have reopened talks with Stuart Pearce after the former England u21 boss rejected the club last week.

4) Southampton have come out and stated their stars will not be leaving the club this summer, despite the club owing £27million in transfer fees.

5) Victor Valdes’ career at Barcelona seems to be over after the goalkeeper suffered a season ending knee injury. His contract is up at the end of the season and he has already stated he will move on.

6) The FA has been criticised heavily after Nike released the new England shirts with an asking price of £90. (BBC Sport)

7) Journalist Paul Lagan asked JoseMourinho what qualities he wanted to bring to the team next year, and in an unorthodox twist the Chelsea boss wrote one simple word on his notepad – Balls! (@CFCJourno)

8) Getting a good ball into the box from a corner is hard enough, but Mathieu Valbuena was given a near impossible task after a fan threw a Betty Boop doll onto the pitch landing next to the ball. (Who Ate All the Pies)

9) Apparently persistence does pay off, or at least it did for Roma. Referee Nicola Rizzoli gifted Sassuolo a penalty which was followed by protests for around 5 minutes before he overturned the decision. (Metro)

10) Augsburg have scored an own-goal of the season contender after the goalkeeper had the ball smashed against his face which then flew into his goal. (Daily Mail)
