Women’s World Cup Podcast: Sone Aluko reacts to Japan defeat, plus Casey Stoney Q&A

England’s exit to the hands of Women’s World Cup holders Japan in the early hours of Thursday morning was a real heartbreaker for the whole nation, especially those who have invested so much time in following the team throughout the tournament.

As the tournament grounds to a close this weekend with a repeat of the 2011 final, England prepare to face Germany on Saturday in the third-place play-off in Edmonton, the scene of their semi-final defeat.

Casey Stoney and Hull City striker Sone Aluko, brother of Eniola, react to the defeat in the latest podcast whilst Kait and Lynsey look back on England’s tournament as a whole.
