Betting Tips: Manchester United to beat Liverpool, John Stones to score against Chelsea and Norwich to win against injury hit Bournemouth
The first international break is over, so we can rejoice at the return of club football around the world this weekend – and there are some big games! Big games are good for the bookies as they bring the punters in, Rich Laverty will try and work his way through them to make sure you earn a little extra this weekend!

The weekend kicks off with John Stones facing the side it seemed he would join all summer, even handing in a transfer request in an attempt to do so. But Everton stood firm, and Stones will line-up against Chelsea on Saturday with plenty to prove.
If you fancy the big man to score from a set-piece or have a say in the game, you’ll get good odds, with even better odds on him to be sent off – either would be a great story!
Best Odds: 22/1 (To Score) (888Sport) – 33/1 (To Be Sent Off) (UniBet)
Norwich to win by one
Norwich City have looked relatively solid under Alex Neil this season, and have scored enough goals to not be inside the relegation zone after the first international break. Bournemouth, on the other hand, impressed in a 4-3 win away at West Ham, but were dogged by injuries in their last match.
New signings Tyrone Mings and Max Gradel are out for the foreseeable future, but Norwich probably don’t have enough firepower to punish them too much. The Canaries to win by a single goal might be a good bet.
Best Odds: 3/1 (SkyBet)
Manchester United to win with Rooney to score
Do you fancy a repeat of what happened last season? Wayne Rooney hasn’t scored in the league since April, but he has a weight off his shoulders after becoming England’s all-time top scorer, and hopefully has a bit of extra confidence too.
Rooney opened the scoring against Liverpool at Old Trafford last season with United winning 3-0 largely thanks to David de Gea. The Spaniard should return this weekend to make the home side even stronger at the back.
Best Odds: 9/4 (SkyBet)
Atletico Madrid to lead after 15 minutes
Fancy an early goal? Atletico look particularly good already this season, whilst Barcelona’s defence certainly doesn’t look as strong as it did last season. Gerard Pique will miss out, while Dani Alves is still injured, meaning Atletico could go out to get at Barca from the off.
If you fancy the home side to take an early lead, a couple of bookies will give you good odds; even better if you’re daring and go for 10 minutes instead!
Best Odds: 13/2 (Ladbrokes) – To Lead after 10 minutes 17/2 – (SkyBet)
Inter Milan to win and BTTS
To finish, it’s the Milan derby on Sunday evening – as if United vs Liverpool and Atletico vs Barca wasn’t enough, right? Both sides have spent big over the summer and are almost unrecognisable from the teams that struggled so much last season.
Inter have started the better of the two, winning both games, whilst Milan have slipped up already. If you fancy Inter to nick a win with both teams scoring, you might be on to a winner.
Best Odds: 10/3 (Ladbrokes)
