Betting Tips: Arsenal to win London derby against Chelsea & Wayne Rooney to continue his good form to help Manchester United to win over Southampton

This weekends fixtures sees title chasing Arsenal come up against Chelsea in a highly anticipated London derby. With Wayne Rooney’s return to form, Manchester United are back in the hunt for the title as they face Southampton. Kurt Bristoll selects his best picks for this weekends action.

Manchester United vs. Southampton – United to win and Rooney to score anytime

Fifth-placed United somehow find themselves just two points outside the Champions League places, and just seven points off top spot, which just shows how inconsistent and crazy this season has been. On Saturday, they host a Southampton side that have lost their last four matches away from home. United have three wins and two draws in their last five matches, and Wayne Rooney has scored five goals in his last four matches. I can see Rooney grabbing another here, and helping United take all three points.

Crystal Palace vs. Tottenham – Spurs to win

Spurs are having a great season by their standards, and will be disappointed if they somehow find themselves out of the top four come the end of the season. They travel to Crystal Palace, who are not in the best of form at the moment, managing only one win in their last five games, losing three and drawing one. Spurs, on the other hand, have three wins and two draws from their last five away games. In their last match at home, Palace were easily beaten by a poor Chelsea team, and Spurs will hope that it will be just as easy for them on Saturday.

Arsenal vs. Chelsea – Arsenal to win

Arsenal’s record against Chelsea is not a great one, having won only one of the previous 10 meetings between the sides, but I see them changing that this Sunday. Arsenal are top of the Premier League and have won their last six games at home in all competitions. Chelsea are still trying to steady the ship after a terrible season, and I feel will go into this one playing for a draw, but league leaders Arsenal should be able to break down a team that currently sits 14th in the Premier League.

Reading vs. Sheffield Wednesday – Sheff Wed to win

Sheffield Wednesday occupy the final play-off position in the Championship and will hope to retain it to give themselves a chance at promotion. They are away to a Reading side that has just one win in their last five matches and are struggling for form. Wednesday have won their last four games and are one of the form teams in the Championship at the moment; I expect them to beat Reading with ease.

Juventus vs. Roma – Juventus to win and over 2.5 goals in the game

Two of the biggest names in Italian football go head-to-head on Sunday with second-placed Juventus hosting fifth-placed Roma. Juventus are in great form at the moment, having won all of their last five games and having scored 16 goals in those matches. Roma started the season well, but are currently in a bad patch of form, having drawn their last three matches. I expect there to be a fair few goals in this game, but for Juventus to come out on top in this one.
