The FA Cup returns this weekend and there are plenty of shocks on the cards, plenty of entertaining games in store and plenty of opportunities for profit. Kurt Bristoll picks out his best bets for the weekend.
Bury vs Hull City – Hull to win
Current Championship leaders Hull travel to League One’s Bury in a fixture that I can only see going one way. Hull have won all of their last five matches and haven’t conceded in their last four. They’ve also managed to score nine goals in their last three, so I can see them winning fairly comfortably in this one.

Nottingham Forest vs Watford – Forest to win
There’s potential for an FA Cup shock in this game as in-form Forest host Watford. Forest have three wins and two draws in their previous five games and are currently on a 13 game undefeated streak. Watford meanwhile have lost three of their last five and both of those wins came against a poor Newcastle side. With Watford hosting Chelsea on Wednesday their priorities may lie elsewhere and Forest could book themselves into the next round.

Oxford vs Blackburn – Oxford to win The giant-killers from the first round take on higher level opposition again and Oxford will be looking for another big result to keep up what has been a great cup run. The underdogs go into the game in good form, having won four of their last five games, including wins against Swansea and Millwall. Blackburn only have one win in their last five games and that was against Newport in an unconvincing display. I feel that Oxford will grab themselves another shock win in this one and move on up in the cup.

Liverpool vs West Ham – over 2.5 goals
Liverpool will not be looking forward to this fixture. West Ham have beaten the Reds twice this season in the league and won with ease at Anfield earlier in the season. When it comes to this tie it’s tough to call a winner, but I think there will be goals. Why do I think that? In Liverpool’s last five matches there have been 24 goals. In West Ham’s previous five there have been 14 goals. West Ham won 3-0 in August here, and while it’s unlikely that score-line will be repeated I expect to see at least that many goals on Saturday.

Angers vs Monaco – Monaco to win
Monaco may not be able to catch PSG this season, but they will certainly want to make sure they keep their position in second to qualify for the Champions League and this weekend they face an Angers side that will be pleased with their current position of fifth. I feel that Monaco may just have too much quality for Angers to handle in this game. After a solid start to the season Angers are in a bad run of form having lost their last three games, including a 5-1 hammering by PSG, whereas Monaco have won four and drawn one of their last five. Earlier in the season Monaco won 1-0 at home and I think they will secure all three points once again.
