Body of Spanish FA president’s niece found after kidnapping, Eto’o dropped by Turkish club over racism accusations and Mpenza to sue Sturrock over Viagra story

1. Spanish Football Association president Angel Maria Villar’s niece, who was kidnapped in Mexico last week, has tragically been found dead. Maria Villar Galaz was held at gunpoint and forced to withdraw money at a cashpoint

2. FA Chief executive Greg Clarke has said he feels that some England fans will struggle to afford the travelling involved with following their team at the Euro 2020 finals which are to be held in 13 different European venues. The semi-final and final of the tournament will be held at Wembley.

3. Former Barcelona and Chelsea star Samuel Eto’o has been dropped until further notice by Turkish club Antalyaspor for comments made on social media allegedly aimed at the clubs chairman which suggested he felt he was mistreated on the grounds of race.

4. The Icelandic national team, who famously knocked England out of Euro 2016, will not feature on the new FIFA 17 video game because of a dispute over image rights. The Icelandic FA feel that game developers Electronic Arts have undervalued them

5. England Women’s striker Eni Aluko has signed a contract extension to keep her at Chelsea. However, the length of the 29-year-old’s new deal has not been disclosed

6. During Arsenal’s League Cup tie at Nottingham Forest, a fan snuck into the Gunners dug out to offer manager Arsene Wenger a pie, only to be ejected by security guards. Perhaps Arsene didn’t like the filling in the pie (WhoAteAllThePies).

7. During a public appearance in Scotland, Prince Harry went head to head with a native freestyle footballer and put him to shame. Perhaps he should sign for Reading, they are the Royals after all… (Hello).

8. Emile Mpenza has threatened legal action against Paul Sturrock for the allegations made in the former Plymouth manager’s autobiography. Sturrock claimed the Belgian missed training because the Viagra he had taken hadn’t yet worn off (PlymouthHerald).

9. How the mighty have fallen; Manchester United’s players were left with no option but to warm up for their League Cup tie at Sixfields in a car park in Northampton (ManchesterEveningNews).

10. And finally.. Mauricio Pochettino has been caught out by eagle-eyed Spurs fans. Tottenham boss Pochettino was photographed with Delli Alli whilst the England man signed the recently agreed contract extension. Whilst doing so, it was spotted that the Argentine coach has worn the same suit and struck the same pose in every photograph of a player signing a contract (DailyMail).
