16: Ji So-yun

Top 100 2020 Ji So-yun

There’s not a left to be said about Ji for those who watch the FA WSL regularly. Over the course of six years she has been a pivotal figure for Chelsea and shows no signs of stopping, coming in at comfortably her highest ever ranking in 2020. While Ji is more than capable of popping up with goals having scored three for both Chelsea and South Korea at the start of the year, it is her creative skills which set Ji apart. Her vision and intelligence shine through on the pitch, where to be, what to do and how she can hurt the other team. There’s no doubting she is up there with the most intelligent players around, but surprisingly ranks second of anyone in Europe for tackles won in 2020, showing she is willing to do the other side of the game and press accordingly along with her team mates.
